Courtesy Visit by the Secretariat of EAROPH International

On February 6, 2024, KRIHS warmly welcomed two distinguished delegates from the Eastern Regional Organization for Planning and Housing (EAROPH) for a courtesy visit. Secretary-General Mazrina Khalid and representative Nazihah Jaafar of EAROPH had a meaningful dialogue with the EAROPH Korea Chapter, with the intention of enhancing collaboration and sharing insights on urban planning and housing. The EAROPH Korea Chapter, hosted by the GDPC at KRIHS, includes Dr. Gyo-Eon Shim, KRIHS President and Korea Chapter President, and Dr. Youn Hee Jeong, GDPC Director and Vice President. The agenda included a briefing on EAROPH, updates on the 2024 EAROPH program, and a discussion on future programs and events. This visit strengthens the collaboration between EAROPH and its Korea Chapter, focusing on urban planning and housing to promote sustainable development and improve human settlements.
