2018 GDPC Evaluation Committee Meeting

The Global Development Partnership Center(GDPC) of the KRIHS hosted 1st 2018 GDPC Evaluation Committee at KRIHS 5-1 meeting room in November 27. The Committee members are Kim Sung Ho(Director of Overseas Construction Policy Division, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport), Park Joong Min(Deputy Director of Development Cooperation Division, Ministry of Strategy and Finance), Koh Young Sun(Executive Director of Center for International Development, Korea Development Institute), Lee Sang Min(Chief Director of Department of Global Transport Cooperation of the Korea Transport Institute), Lee Jung Wook(Director General of International Business Office, Korea Land & Housing Corporation) and Seong Jang Hwan(Director of Global Cooperation Land and Housing Institute). On the KRIHS side, Kang Hyun Soo(President of KRIHS), Park Se Hoon(Director of GDPC) and 11 GDPC staffs attended in this committee.

At the meeting, GDPC’s achievement in 2018 were reviewed and operation plans for 2019 were discussed. In order to improve the quality of GDPC activities for international development and global networking, committee members suggested following recommendations: 1) to establish the information database of developing countries, 2) to build sharing system to connect related organizations, 3) to strengthen local networking in developing countries to enhance project effectiveness, 4) to create incentive policies to encourage researchers to join international development projects and 6) to utilize KRIHS’ expertise and practices on national territorial and urban development.

GDPC will plan and implement effective strategies for international cooperation and global partnership reflecting suggestions and implication from the evaluation committee meeting.
